JAMMU, May 22: Looking forward towards the future of innovations and education, Parul University today unveiled Lakshya 2047, which stands as a center for global future technologies and skills.
The center was inaugurated by Dr Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) at Parul University, has been established in association with Ethnotech Academy and National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest, Dr Jitendra Singh, emphasised the significance of such initiative at the national level, adding “Lakshya 2047 is not only contemporary but also very futuristic.”
He also spoke on the growth of the country, saying, “The age of isolation is over, and you can’t leave everything to the government. No successful country does that, whichever the party, whichever the government. And therefore, now that this government, particularly after Prime Minister Modi has taken over, is very open to the private sector because we realize that if we have to move on from where we are, we cannot move in isolation.”
Dr Devanshu Patel, president of Parul University, shared how Lakshya 2047 is an embodiment of the university’s vision on the convergence between education and the requirements of industry, saying, “It is another step in creating a future-ready ecosystem, which combines innovations and ethics.”
Nitin Kapoor, vice president, NSDC, said, “The launch of the first Centre for Future Skills in Gujarat is an important step as we move towards building a Viksit Bharat. With this, the model is now active across 11 institutions and have already trained over 50k+ candidates. What stands out is the integration of global certifications with hands-on learning integrating with the existing curriculum.”
Dr Kiran Rajanna the CEO of Ethnotech academy who is the project partner of NSDC for centre for future skills said “CFS has been very effective in bringing elite global certification programs to the doorstep of colleges at the most affordable cost. We are committed to bridging the gap between academics and industry by creating globally skilled, innovation-driven professionals.”
