Parliamentary panel visits Nimoo-Bazgo power station

LEH, May 9: The Parliamentary Committee on Govt Assurances, which was on study visit from May 5 to 9, 2017   to  Leh also visited Nimoo- Bazgo Power Station, which is one of the units of NHPC Ltd, a  Govt of India enterprise with installed capacity of 45 MW.
The Parliamentary  Committee that visited Leh- Ladakh  included  Dilip Bhai Pandya, Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat who was the chairperson of this committee, Mohd Nadim- ul- Haque, Surendra Singh Nagar and Lal Singh Vadolia, all MPs from Rajya Sabha along with  Shrawan Kumar, Director, Central Electricity Authority and officers from Parliament Secretariat.
Dilip Bhai Pandya (MP) along with Mukul Pande, Addl Secretary,  Surendra K Tripathi, Director and  RP Tiwari, Addl Director all from Parliament Secretariat visited Nimoo- Bazgo Power Station at Alchi on Monday. The dignitaries went around the dam and power house and were thoroughly briefed by  S. Adhikari, the head of the power station, about each and every component and the process of hydropower generation.
The panel members before leaving appreciated the working of the power station and working spirit of officers of NHPC under such extremely adverse climatic conditions of Ladakh region.
