‘Parkash Purab’ of Guru Gobind Singh on Jan 5: PTS

JAMMU, Jan 1: Panthak Taalmel Sangathan (PTS), J&K has declared that ‘Parkash Purab’ of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj will be celebrated on January 5 as per Mool Nanakshahi Calender.
Addressing press conference convenor of the Panthak Committee, Surjit Singh stated that Gurpurab will be celebrated on January 5, 2021 across the UT and in this connection grand function will be held at Gurdwara Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Chand Nagar Jammu from 11 am to 3.30 pm.
Surjit Singh further said that day is celebrated throughout the country and abroad by the Sikh community with great fervor and religious sanctity as per Nanakshahi Calender since 2003 with great enthusiasm on the Parkash Divas of 10th Guru of Sikhs.
He disclosed that besides local Ragi Jathas, Parcharaks from Jammu, prominent Sikh scholar S Sukhjit Singh from Kapurthala and Bhai Shubhdip Singh Hazoori Ragi Sri Darbar Sahib Amritsar will be present on the occasion. He claimed that several Sikh organizations have extended cooperation for the conduct of this function.
Senior members Attar Singh, H S Raina, Makhan Singh and others also accompanied in the conference.
