POONCH, May 15: Parents have refused to send their children to Government Middle School, Balnai in Mandi Zone to mark their protest against shortage of staff.
Reports said in Panchayat Balnai in block Mandi, there is only one school in which 228 children are enrolled, while the strength of teachers is 4 due to which the education of students is suffering as per the parents.
Parents said they are demanding to fill up the vacant posts of teachers here since long, but nothing has been done in this regard. Therefore the villagers have now decided not to send their children to school till the staff is provided.
I/C Headmaster Mohd Bashir, said that he has intimated the concerned Officer regarding the matter that students didn’t attend school who told that the order of one teacher for this school has been done, while another teacher will be sent tomorrow to redress the issue.
