SRINAGAR, June 13: The Parliamentary Committee on Government Assurances is arriving on a four-day visit to Kashmir from June 16.
The 10-member Committee of the Rajya Sabha is mandated to scrutinize the assurances, promises, undertakings, etc, given by Union Ministers, from time to time, on the floor of the House and to report on the extent to which such assurances, promises, undertakings, etc., have been implemented and if implemented whether such implementation has taken place within the minimum time necessary for the purpose.
The State Bank of India has been designated as the Nodal Agency for coordinating the visit of the panel in Kashmir.
