SAMBA, July 13: Panthers Party activists held a protest demonstration at Samba and blocked the road for 10 minutes against the failure of the State Government in making proper arrangements for the Amarnath pilgrims.
The protestors led by former MLA and senior NPP leader Yashpal Kundal shouting slogans against the Government accused it for its total failure in making proper arrangements for Amarnath pilgrims who are facing many hardships during the Yatra.
The NPP leaders strongly condemned the attack on Yatris in Valley and said that Government has failed to make proper security arrangements for pilgrims in Kashmir.
He said due to failure of the Government on the situation Yatra was suspended for three consecutive days and yatris were subjected to lot of humiliation and harassment. Kundal said that yatris are also being overcharged and Government as well as Shrine Board has failed to regulate the prices and maintain a check on transporters and tent owners at Baltal, Nunwan and other places.
