JAMMU, Aug 7: In view of the growing public outrage from every nook and corner of Jammu region over brazen indulgence of PSC in large scale bungling, corruption, nepotism and regional prejudice in selections to Government services, Panthers Party would gherao the Ministers over the PSC fiasco.
This was stated by Harsh Dev Singh, Chairman JKNPP and former Education Minister, in a hand out issued today.
Rebuking the State Gover-nment and BJP in particular for doling another doze of discrimination to the youth of Jammu over KCS (judicial) competitive exams, Harsh Dev Singh said that from the select it was conspicuous that PSC was hell bent to deprive Jammu based candidates of services in the gazette category. He divulged that out of 11 candidates called by the PSC for medical examination after interview for the posts of Munsiff judge, 5 were in the open category and 3 in the Reserved Backward Area (RBA) besides others. He regretted that from OM category candidates 4 belonged to Kashmir and merely 1 belonged to Jammu who had been reported to be a daughter of a cabinet Minister. Moreover, two of the candidates from RBA also belonged to Kashmir valley, Harsh revealed.
Lambasting the State PSC for its gross irregularities in recent KAS preliminary exams whereby the fate of the Jammu aspirants was put in jeopardy, Harsh Dev Singh alleged obnoxious discrimination with Jammu youth in selections during the last two and a half years. He cautioned the State Public Service Commission to desist from acting as a stooge in the hands of the Kashmir centric BJP-PDP dispensation and admonished the mandated leaders of Jammu region for their servile posturing. Seeking a CBI probe into all selections made by PSC during the last two years, Singh urged for registration of criminal case against the all those associated with fraudulent selections made in the past.
