Pandits will resist move to reverse integration process: KPC

JAMMU, July 11: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) in its meeting here today has warned the Government against any attempt made by the Union Government to reverse the integration process of Kashmir with India.
Addressing the meeting, KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri said that his organization fully endorses the senior BJP leader L K Advani’s stand in this regard and the nationalist forces in the state in general and KPs in particular will resist the move.
He said Kashmir belongs to all Kashmiris and not a section of people and expressed grave concern over the recent happenings in Valley including the increasing attacks by militants. He said the abrogation of Article 370 was the only solution to all the problems facing the people of State.
Kashmiri also opposed the autonomy demand and making of LoC irrelevant made by NC leader and former Minister, Dr Mustafa Kamal. He termed the statement totally misleading.
KPC also decided to observe July 13 as Black Day  as usual in memory of Hindu martyrs who laid down their lives during the fundamentalist attack in 1931and appealed the community members to switch off the lights of their houses and business establishments for one hour from 7-00 pm to 8 pm. Followed by evening prayers for martyrs who laid down their lives during 1931 and later in 23 year long militancy.
