JAMMU, Sept 11: Pran Nath Pandita was unanimously re-elected as president of Prem Sangeet Niketan the elections of which were held here, today.
Prem Sangeet Niketan is a prestigious organization related to art and culture and as per its constitution its elections have become due. To pave way for the new elections Mr Pandita had resigned from the post over a month back and the fresh elections were scheduled to be held today. However the members who attended the meeting and those who were not present conveyed Mr Pandita on phone their full faith in him and they re-elected him as president for next term.
Pandita later dissolved the Executive Body and it will be constituted on September 18.
However the secretary of the Niketan Mrs Kusum Dhar has been requested to perform as secretary as well as Principal of the Niketan till new arrangements are made.
