Pakistan violates ceasefire on LoC in Rajouri, India retaliates

JAMMU: Pakistan troops on Wednesday violated ceasefire by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“At about 0700 hours Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing of small arms and intense shelling with Mortars in Keri sector of Rajouri District,” Defence Spokesperson here said.
He further said that Indian Army was retaliating befittingly to the cross border firing.
“No injury or damage has been reported so far,” he added.
Pakistan troops on Tuesday also violated the truce by firing unprovoked along the Line of Control in Poonch district.
On November 8, one Army jawan attained martyrdom during unprovoked firing by the Pakistan Army in Poonch district. (AGENCIES)
