Pak youth restored to Rangers

JALANDHAR, Apr 29: A Pakistani national was arrested by BSF officials after he inadvertently crossed into the Indian side of the border in search of water and was later handed over to Pakistan Rangers today after interrogation.
Deputy Inspector General of BSF, RPS Jaswal today said Shahbram (23), a resident of Pakpattan District of Pakistan’s Punjab province, was yesterday arrested in Abohar sector near Punjab (India) border.
Jaswal said the youth was handed over to Pakistan Rangers today afternoon after interrogators found nothing suspicious in his possession.
The youth told the inquisitors that he was on a picnic and mistakenly crossed over to this side of International Border in search of water, he said. (PTI)
