Pak troops open fire at Indian post in Gurdaspur

Punjab : Gunfire was reported at Gurdaspur, Punjab early Monday morning. The firing reportedly took place at BSF Chakri post, news agency ANI reported.

Inspector General, BSF Anil Paliwal has confirmed to the media that the BSF opened fire after suspected infiltration was reported at Chakri post of Gurdaspur(Punjab) sector.

The firing comes hours after the headquarters of the 46 Rashtriya Rifles was attacked by terrorists late Sunday night. One BSF jawan was killed in that attack and another injured. There is, however, no confirmation that the two attacks are linked.
