Pak shelling again on LoC

JAMMU, Feb 24: Pakistan army today again violated ceasefire for a limited period on the Line of Control (LoC) at three places in Poonch district but failed to cause any casualties or damage.
Reports said Pakistan army resorted to mortar shelling and firing in forward villages of Shahpur, Qasba and Kirni in Poonch district late this afternoon. The Indian side retaliated leading to exchanges that lasted about half an hour.
Pakistan army targeted civilian population with mortars and automatic weapons. However, most of the mortar shells exploded away from the houses and didn’t cause any casualties or damage.
People remained confined to their houses and bunkers since this afternoon in forward villages following Pakistan shelling and firing. However, life returned to normal in the evening.
