Pak Rangers hand over Poonch woman at cross LoC point

POONCH, Jan 28: Pakistani authorities today handed over a middle-aged woman from Mandi area of district Poonch to the Indian authorities at Chakkan-da-Bagh LoC point.
Official sources said that 36-year-old Zareen Bi, daughter of one Qutab Din Bhatti, resident of village Chella Dangri in Mandi tehsil of Poonch had inadevertantly crossed over to PoK on September 23, 2020. On the request of the family members, the District Administration had taken up the matter with the Pak aurthorities. It was also conveyed that the woman was mentally unsound.
Today, acting on the request from Indian side, the Pakistani Rangers along with their Civil officers handed over the woman to the Indian security agencies and Magistrate at the Chakkan-Da-Bagh Cross LoC point.29
