“This is a serious issue and we need to take strict precautions to foil this move and prevent the further spread of the virus,” he said.
He appreciated the principal of MTC Ganderbal for converting the training center into a quality quarantine Center. “There were some policemen who had come in contact with the positive cases, but all of them are doing fine and there is no need to worry. I am glad to see this training Centre has been converted into a quality quarantine center by the Principal,” he said.
Singh said that earlier he chaired security review meeting at Ganderbal district in which IGP Kashmir and other officers were present. “I assessed that how the police along with other forces are implementing lockdown, providing relief to the people who are in need of essentials and other help. I am happy to see that forces are doing good work on ground,” he added.
Two policemen have tested positive in Kashmir and all their contacts have been traced and put under quarantine.
