Pak army again opens firing

JAMMU, Jan 1: Pakistan army today opened firing on forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district but failed to cause any casualties or damage.

The firing took place in Khari Karmara and Gulpur forward areas along the LoC in Poonch district, sources said, adding that the Indian troops guarding the borderline retaliated.
No casualty or damage have been reported on the Indian side. However, casualties, if any, on Pakistan side were not known immediately.
Despite repeated calls for restraint and adherence to the ceasefire understanding of 2003, there have been 1,600 incidents of ceasefire violations by Pakistan last year till October, 2018.
