POONCH, Jan 1: Shaheed Manjeet Singh Volleyball Club won the title of Open Volleyball Tournament, organised under the aegis of District Administration in collaboration with district unit of JKSSC at Government High School Ajote, here.
In the valedictory function, District Development Commissioner Rahul Yadhav was chief guest, while guest of honour was Krishan Lal Sharma, Retd Divisional Sports Officer. Nirdosh Kumar Incharge Manager Sports Stadium Poonch was also present on the occasion.
Later, DDC along with other dignitaries distributed trophies and mementoes to winning and runner-up teams.
The tournament was conducted under the Technical Supervision of Nirdosh Kumar, Incharge Manager Sports Stadium Poonch and Organising Secretary of the championship.
The Technical Panel of the tournament were Devinder Singh PEM, Narinder Singh PEM, Kulwant Singh PEM, Saurav Sharma PET, DK Raina PET, Devinder Singh PET, Shafqat Shah PET, Ramprakash Sharma and Bal Krishan Sharma.
Among others present were Mohammad Qasim ZPEO, Narinder Singh ZPEO, Headmaster High School Ajote Naseeb Akhter Qureshi, Jaspreet Kour Sarpanch Ajote, Bashir Ahmed Choudhary Manager Sports Stadium Rajouri, Prem Parkash Luthra Vice President Poonch District Taekwondo Association, Vijay Kumar PEM, Bachittar Singh PEM, Nanak Singh PEM, Parvaiz Ahmed Afridi Chairman Ehsas Foundation, Rajinder Singh Taekwondo Incharge Poonch and Ravinder Singh Secretary Veteran Athletic Association.
