Painters’ camp concludes in Sunderbani

JAMMU, Nov 28: All India Painters’ Camp organized by Jammu and Kashmir Centre for Creative Arts (JKCCA), Jammu in collaboration with Harsh Niketan Higher Secondary School, Sunderbani, concluded today in the premises of the school.
Col Rajneesh Singh, Deputy Commandant, Kalgidar Brigade, was the chief guest on the occasion. OP Sharma, Director, JKCCA, welcomed the guests and gave a brief report of the camp and other activities being organized by JKCCA, Jammu. MR Sharma, Managing Director of the institution was also present on the occasion.
The chief guest appreciated the works created by the artists during this camp. He said the artists have tried their best to explore possibilities with their mediums and concepts during the camp.
During the camp, the artists had interactive sessions on intellectual matters concerned with art. The artists who participated in the camp include VS Rahi (New Delhi), Mange Ram (New Delhi), Jang S Verman (Jammu), Romika Billore (Bopal), KS Gill (Amritsar), Dharminder Sharma (Amritsar), Gopal Kerodiwal (Amritsar), Narinder Singh (Amritsar), Dr Mamta Singh (Dheradun), OP Sharma (Jammu), Kamal Nain Bhan (Jammu), Rekha Sharma (Jalandar), Pritima Singh (Luckhnow) etc.
During the function, VS Rahi was felicitated by the chief guest for his outstanding contribution in the field of Art. Sixteen paintings were created by the painters and an Exhibition of the Paintings was also organized on the spot.
