JAMMU, Feb 19: Pahari Tribe ST Forum today launched `appeal document’ , strongly demanding ST status for Pahari tribe. .
Addressing a press conference, senior members of the Forum stated that previous Governments showed half hearted approach but this time innocent Pahari tribe people are having high hope as the present complete majority Government at the Centre has high credentials of fulfilling the words they utter.
They claimed that since 1991 every Governor, CM, PM, expert committees and working groups in words have raised the marginalized and vulnerable condition of Pahari Tribe but in action, letter and spirit nothing concrete happened but now every single member of 15 lakh Pahari Tribe of J&K UT has decided to show loyalty and remained united for their common cause.
Executive members further appealed to everyone to remain on faith, conviction and trust towards that party and Government that shall bring Pahari Tribe from darkness to light by rendering due ST STATUS to the downtown Pahari.
Those who interacted during conference included Ahsan Mirza (Adv), Gurdev Thakur (Adv), Sanjeev Sharma (Adv) and Sajjad Mirza.
