horoscope

Saturday Jan 25-2014

Aries : You will share wonderful moments with your beloved today. Go ahead and learn some musical instrument, suggests Ganesha: it’s a beautiful way to convey emotions. And it provides a perfect means to woo someone anew. Join a class before the mood wanes.

Taurus : It is highly unlikely that you will be emotional and sentimental today, predicts Ganesha. Adopt a laid-back attitude towards life to feel at ease. Public servants will have encouraging and affirmative results in their efforts. Your competency will be put to test at the work place.

Gemini : If you have children, they will be a pampered lot today, says Ganesha. Your affection, however, may not have its desired impact. Children are known to be unpredictable, but keep an eye on their activities, especially today. You may entertain your loved ones with a sumptuous dinner tonight. Your creative side will do well for itself, feels Ganesha.

Cancer : Today, you will need to rise above your emotional leanings and will have to choose between doing the right thing and keeping your loved ones happy. So far, you have managed to strike a balance. It is about time that you learn to deal with your fears, suggests Ganesha. Always keep in mind that your emotions cloud your reasoning. You may not be able to think clearly and any careless outbursts may leave relationships strained.

Leo : You will spend an enjoyable day with your favourite relatives and friends. In the office also, you will be afforded rare co-operation from all your colleagues. Financial gains are indicated. It is a good time for lovers, who will experience an intimate bond with their partners, says Ganesha.

Virgo : Achievement and accomplishment will be the highlights of the day, notes Ganesha. You will be recognised for your devotion to work and determination to succeed at your workplace. Much awaited promotions may come and financial arrears may also reach your hands.

Libra : You will be very active today, especially when it comes to finishing tasks in office. Your thoughts will reach new heights and you will be able to motivate and stimulate others to perform. Your motto for the day is ‘Arise, awake and sleep not till the goal is reached’.

Scorpio : You may find yourself sulking in your shell today, feels Ganesha. One event or another may lead you to shut out work. Hindsight and bitterness will not lead you anywhere, so Ganesha advises that you must steer clear of negativity. Soul searching and inner cleansing may best be complimented with meditation and yoga.

Sagittarius : Be ready with you bags packed as you may decide to undertake an impromptu trip today. It could be a business trip or simply travel in pursuit of pleasure. Nostalgia will grip you as you run into an old childhood friend today. Sharpen your public relation skills, which will come in handy when you deal with strangers today, says Ganesha.

Capricorn : Recognition and rewards are awaiting you at work, and unlike in most cases, colleagues won’t be envious of your success. They will, in fact, provide the much-needed motivation for taking up new and challenging projects, says Ganesha. For those of you looking to switch jobs, wait awhile, this may not be the right time. You will be showered with better job opportunities, but it will be wise of you to wait till you strike the right deal.

Aquarius : Today, you social butterflies will set hearts fluttering! Also, whatever you have been working on will reach completion now. You do have a great vision, but you’re lost when it comes to executing your plans. Ganesha assures success if only you are a little more practical!

Pisces : Being a friend in need is what today will be about, says Ganesha. Making new acquaintances and associations is also on the cards. Try not to let jealousy mar your better judgement while you are at it.

State Finance Corporation

The organization called State Finance Commission has resumed functioning as profit earning organization after a long gap of fifteen years. The main function of the Corporation is to provide loans and disbarments to organizations that create avenges of employment for the youth and unemployed people of the state. After remaining in red for about 15 years, the Corporation has once again started generating net profits, besides sanctioning and disbursement of term loans. During the last financial year, loans amounting to about Rs. 18.80 crore have been sanctioned and Rs. 15.23 crore disbursed to the beneficiaries. SFC is the first public sector undertaking, which after a gap of 9 years, has now updated Audited Balance Sheets and Profit and Loss Accounts. It has now cleared a 7 years backlog of audited accounts. We are glad that  that the Corporation has been able to turn its negative net worth of Rs. 104.58 crore in 2009 into a positive net worth of Rs. 3.67 crore as on ending March 2013, hoping that the positive network of the Corporation will perform far better than one expects. It is a good sign for the financial health of the State. Professional and financial restructuring of the Corporation as envisaged by the State Finance Minister is a welcome step.
