JAMMU, June 17: Continuing their protest, the PM package employees posted in Kashmir Valley held a demonstration in front of Relief Organisation here today in support of their relocation demand.
The irate employees with placards and banners in their hands urged the Government to accept their demand without further delay in view of the targeted killings in the Valley. The protestors alleged that the administration had failed to ensure security to them with the result the employees belonging to minority community became safe targets of terrorists. The Government over the years failed to listen their woes and took the issue casually with the result they became safe and soft targets of militants.
They said shifting within Municipal limits is not any solution to their problem as Ajay Bhat was also serving within Municipal limits that too in Magistrate’s office where he was gunned down in broad day light. When an employee is not safe in the Magistrate’s Office how can be he safe at other places they questioned and said nothing except relocation outside Valley will be acceptable to them.
Meanwhile, protest continued in migrant colonies at Sheikhpora, Veeerwan and other places in Kashmir Valley today with employees reiterating the relocation demand.
