POONCH, Apr 2: Oxygen plant in Sub District Hospital Mandi caught fire after a blast in the transformer installed with the plant in the premises complex today.
Official sources said that fire broke out in the transformer after the blast, adjacent to the oxygen plant of SDH Mandi, which also caught fire. During the process transformer, electric wires and other accessories in oxygen plant suffered damage.
Staff members of hospital and local people including shopkeepers present there, swiftly extinguish the fire which contained the major mishap and the damage. The local police also reached the spot to join rescue operation.
