REASI, Dec 28: Continuing the eviction drive, a huge chunk of State land measuring 450 kanals and 2 marlas, encroached illegally by local occupants, was retrieved at Bhaga village, here today.
Following instructions of Deputy Commissioner Reasi Charandeep Singh, a joint team of Revenue officials started the operation of evicting land with the assistance of Police and finally took over possession of land after day long drive.
When contacted, Revenue officials informed that the operation was conducted in continuation to the massive drive initiated by district administration Reasi to vacate encroached State land.
Stating that a massive exercise is underway in the district to remove all encroachments on the State land, the authorities appealed people to restrain from making any encroachments on the parcels of land belonging to State.
