Orientation programme for in-service teachers concludes

JAMMU, Jan 7: A five day orientation training programme for in-service teachers in Science, Mathematics and English concluded today.
The training programme was organized under the aegis of RMSA in collaboration with  NCERT New Delhi and SIE Jammu.
Eminent experts in different subject from NCERT New Delhi, RIE Ajmer and  RIE Bhopal were the Chief Resource Persons. They included Dr B P Bhardwaj, Dr Mona Yadav, Dr Anup Rajput, Dr Sharad Sinha, Dr R K Sharma, Dr R K Koireng, Dr Kirti Kapur, Dr A K Wazalwar, Dr Ashwani Garg, Dr R Meghnathan, Dr K V Sridevi and Dr Pitanjali Sharma. The team was headed by Dr Ranjana Arora, Prof & Head, NCERT New Delhi.
Besides acquainting the participants with the different methodologies and techniques  to be used in teaching of different subjects like Science, Mathematics and English, the Resource Persons  also threw light upon general topics like Inclusive Education, Professional Development of Teacher Education, Gender Issues, Teacher Sensitization and Policies of RMSA.
S A Leherwal, State Project Director RMSA J&K State was the chief guest during the valedictory function while H R Pakhroo, Joint Director (Trainings)/Principal SIE Jammu was the presiding guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Leherwal laid emphasis on the implementation of all the learned policies in different fields. He said that these methodologies will enhance the learning of the students and will also make the teaching effective.
H R Pakhroo said that such trainings will let the Resource Persons polish their training Techniques and let teachers of our State well prepared for the forthcoming problems which they may face in their day-to-day interaction in the classroom or outside that.
Among others,  present on the occasion, included S K  Raina,  S L Tengloo, Brij Lal,  Om Parkash,  Ajmer Singh, Rajinder Kumar,  Archana Khanna , Shivani Sharma,  Rajesh Gupta,  Bua Ditta,  Kashmir Singh,  S K Gouria, Puneet Thukral  and Anil Kumar.
