RAJOURI, Jan 7: The police seized seven bovine animals which were being smuggled towards Kashmir via Mughal road.
Reports said that acting on a specific information, SHO Rajouri Yash Pal Jamwal intercepted these animals when two smugglers were carrying them on foot through as nallah on the outskirts of the town just to avoid police nakas. The animals had to be loaded in the truck waiting on that side of the nallah. On seeing police, the smugglers escaped from the site while animals were rescued from their clutches. A case has been registered in this connection.
