Organise recruitment rallies at Basohli

Sir,
Basohli and Bani tehsils are spread over a large area both hilly and plain which is inhabited by a sizable number of tall, stout, sturdy, muscular, fearless and courageous youth known for their mettle and guts in the State.  The main profession of the youth of these hilly tehsils had been the employment in the Indian belt forces because Basohli had remained a permanent and nearest venue of recruitment for the aspirants from Bani and Basohli tehsils where a good number of the youth used to throng the venue for recruitment. In the past there used to be at least one person from every family either in army or police the number of which is reducing due to their superannuation every year. Tehsil Basohli has the pride of being the birth place of Hav. Beer Singh winner of the Victoria Cross from the erstwhile British army for his extraordinary services rendered to the British Royal army in India. Not to talk of soldiers there are Brigadiers, squadron leaders, dozens of serving as well as retired colonels, Majors and other lower rank commissioned officers from Basohli tehsil in the army. As regards the police department P.L. Gupta DGP and S.P. Vaid Addl. DGP both belong to Basohli tehsil. There is a good  number of Police Superintendents, Dy. Superintendents, inspectors and other police ranks from Basohli tehsil in different districts of the state. From the day, Basohli has been removed from the venues of recruitment the youth from Basohli and Bani tehsils are  leaving their homes in quest of jobs in the markets of other states of the country. In order to earn the living and run their families they are compelled to work as coolies, porters, or have to compromise with those jobs considered as detrimental for the self and society. The concerned authorities are requested to organise recruitment rallies in the region to overcome unemployment.
Yours etc…
Shiv Kumar Padha
