MENDHAR, Mar 18: Senior National Conference leader and former MLA Mendhar, Javed Ahmed Rana, today emphasised that only National Conference can give stable Government in the State, which has witnessed turmoil in the last four years due to mis-governance of last Government.
Addressing a public meeting at Panchayat Kandi Galhutta of Balakote Tehsil, Rana asserted that alliance of PDP-BJP was an opportunist and its fall has created a vacuum in the State, which can only be filled with National Conference taking control of the Government in Jammu and Kashmir with the support of the people of the State.
He further said that the time has come to confront communal and divisive forces in the State in a more aggressive manner and cautioned the public that BJP and other forces could go to any extent to mislead people on different counts for electoral gains, but we need to counter and defeat them miserably in the larger interests of people.
Rana asked the party cadre to gear-up for Lok Sabha polls and ensure that the BJP is defeated. “We need to prove that this country belongs to everybody and not only to RSS, and this can be proved only when country is in safe hands. Modi will destroy this country if he again becomes the Prime Minister.
Vijay Laxmi Dutta, Provincial vice president, National Conference while addressing the meeting, highlighted the role of National Conference in the State politics. She said that the people of the State have realised the importance of National Conference and are ready to teach PDP a lesson for selling the interest of the State in the hands of BJP.
Dutta further said that PDP has betrayed the people by giving BJP a space in the State politics. The people will not spare this party this time. She said only NC can give a stable and viable Govt in the State.
She urged upon the women to actively participate in election campaign and said that the role of National Conference is vital.
