Only media created Modi hype: Sham Lal

JAMMU, Apr 7: Dismissing Modi wave in J&K, Minister for PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control Sham Lal Sharma today said that there is no such wave anywhere in the country and exuded confidence that UPA-III will be in power again in the Centre.
Addressing series of election meetings at different places in Akhnoor, Jammu-West, Jammu-East constituencies to seek support for Jammu-Poonch candidate, Madan Lal Sharma, the Minister said that Modi hype has been created only by media, but there is no truth on ground. He said the BJP is the party of capitalists and has nothing to do with the problems of the common man.
Mr Sharma said people made mistake twice by electing the BJP coalition in the country that served the country with brief stints and it did nothing for the poor, down trodden and deprived sections of the society. But it is Congress, which has vast history to serve the nation for longest period right from independence and guarding the interests of common man and ensuring the all round development in all spheres, he added.
Maintaining that Congress has a visionary approach, secular character, the Minister said that party has deep rooted history as its existence is in every village of the country. It is a party of common man, poor, down-trodden and other marginalized sections of the society, who have great faith in its leadership and policies. The party is practical and does not believe in hollow slogans and false promises.
Seeking mandate for coalition candidate Mr Sharma asked the people to make use of their vote consciously. He said the election provides an opportunity to the electorate after five years. They must make complete introspection of the candidate before electing who should deliver as per their expectations. He said people have tested the sitting MP for two terms, they must introspect, analyze his performance on ground and support accordingly. He also highlighted the achievements of Madan Lal Sharma during the past one decade for Jammu-Poonch constituency.
Ex-MLAs Om Chopra and Yogesh Sawhney also accompanied the Minister.
