JAMMU, Mar 27: Senior party leader and Minister for Housing, Culture and Sports Raman Bhalla today said that vote for Congress will be a vote for stability, peace and prosperity of country and Jammu and Kashmir in particular.

Addressing series of public meetings organised jointly by Congress and National Conference (NC) to seek votes for coalition candidate for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency, Madan Lal Sharma in Residency Road, Gujjar Nagar, Krishna Nagar and Shaheedi Chowk areas, Raman Bhalla urged people to sense gravity of situation and vote a secular, progressive and visionary political outfit like Congress to power which has a legacy of building nation and bringing in prosperity.
Madan Lal Sharma, he said had worked tirelessly for people of far flung areas of Poonch and Rajouri and by sending him to the Parliament people will be making their voices heard at the highest forum. He added that Coalition Government in Jammu and Kashmir has achieved tremendous success with active support of people. The kind of infrastructure it has developed matches international standards.

Party candidate Madan Lal Sharma while counting the achievements of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government said several programmes and policies launched by the Centre have percolated right up to the village levels. Schemes like PMGSY, NRHM, Rural Electrification and JNNURM have spread development towards villages which otherwise used to remain neglected.

It was during this era that schools, colleges, hospitals, roads, Panchayat Ghars and other infrastructure was developed in abundance.
