Only 3 COVID cases in J&K, 5 in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Mar 19: In a major decline in COVID-19 cases in Jammu and Kashmir, only three persons tested positive in the UT today while 15 cases were registered yesterday.
Ladakh recorded eight cases during past two days.
Of three cases, two were reported from Kashmir and one in Jammu while among yesterday’s 15 cases, seven were logged in Kashmir and eight in Jammu.
In Jammu region, Jammu district recorded lone COVID positive case while rest nine districts didn’t report any cases. With 15 recoveries, number of active positive cases in the region has come down to 36.
Ladakh reported five new COVID positive cases today and three yesterday, all in Leh district.
The UT now has 47 active positive cases—45 in Leh and two in Kargil district.
