SAMBA, Apr 19: One person was killed and another injured when a truck hit a motorcycle at village Nud area near here, today.
According to the report, the mishap took place at Samba -Mansar -Dhar road near Nud area of Samba, when a truck bearing Registration Number JK14F- 4487 moving towards Udhampur from Samba, on reaching near village Nud, suddenly hit with a motorcycle bearing Registration Number JK02BU- 2049, as a result two persons who were travelling on motorcycle got critically injured.
They were brought to District Hospital Samba for treatment where doctors declared one person as brought dead. He has been identified as Rashid Mohd. The critically injured person was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for further treatment.
The injured is identified as Akram. Both are brothers and sons of Dil Mohammad resident of village Battal sum Samba.
The body of the deceased person was taken to mortuary room of District Hospital Samba for autopsy. After completing the legal formalities it was handover to its legal heirs for the last rites.
Police has arrested the driver and seized the truck on spot. Police has taken cognizance the matter and started further investigation.
