REASI, June 30: Police arrested one more police constable for drug trafficking.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, a team from Reasi Police Station arrested one more accused involved in drug peddling.
The accused has been identified as Ankush Sharma alias Rinku, son of Subash Chander, a resident of Ward Number 5, Katra. The accused is a constable in the Police Department.
Ankush Sharma is also an associate of drug traders namely Gurcharan Singh, son of Romal Singh of District Udhampur (Constable in Police Depart-ment), Kunal Pandoh, son of Varinder Pandoh of Ward Number 8, Reasi and Mohan Lal, Gogi Ram of Kund Khanyari, Tehsil Pouni. Ankush Sharma, who were arrested by Reasi police on June 25 along with 50 mgm opium, cash Rs 1,63,400 earned from the sale and purchase of drugs and small digital weighing machine.
All the accused persons were produced in the Court, where their police remand has been extended for two more days.
Further, investigation of the case is going on.
