JAMMU, Sept 27: A man was killed while two others were injured in collision of two scooties at Nagrota area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a scooty bearing registration number JK02BA-7420 collided this afternoon with another scooty bearing registration JK02AG-2284 at Nagrota near J&K Bank. He said that in the collision rider of one of the scooty namely Surinder Sharma son of Sita Ram, a resident of Toll Post, Nagrota, died on the spot while two other persons on other scooty namely Sanjay Bhan son of Hari Krishan and Kartik Koul son of Prithvi Raj, both residents of Jagti Nagrota, received serious injuries.
Both injured persons as well as the body of the deceased were shifted to Government Medical and Hospital, Jammu, where the condition of the injured were stated to be stable while the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs fro last rites after conducting postmortem.
A case under relevant sections has been registered in this connection at police station Nagrota and both the vehicles seized.
