One killed, three injured in road mishaps

JAMMU, Mar 10: A person was killed while three others including a girl and a woman were injured in separate road mishaps in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a tractor-trolley driver identified as Vijay Kumar (40) son of Ram Das, a resident of RS Pura was carrying bricks in his tractor-trolley, when it suddenly turned turtle at Bhor Camp area falling under the jurisdiction of police post, Gadigarh this evening.
In the mishap, Vijay Kumar received serious injuries. The locals came to the rescue of the victim and shifted him to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment. However, after few hours, the victim succumbed to his injuries in the hospital during treatment.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting autopsy.
In another incident at Bagh-e-Bahu, a 65-year old man identified as Vijay Kumar son of Raj Kumar, a resident of Talab Tillo injured in a collision of a bike and a scooty.
A girl identified as Pallavi Gupta (22) daughter of Pawan Gupta and Priya (27) wife of Rampal, a resident of Barnai received injuries when the scooty they were travelling met with an accident due to burst of tyre.
All the injured were shifted to GMCH for treatment.
