One killed, six injured in road accidents

Srinagar, Oct 26: A  person was killed while six others were injured in different road accidents in Srinagar and Anantnag districts.
A police spokesman said a motorcycle bearing registration number DL13C-2757 driven by Ilyas Rehman turned turtle at Barzulla Bridge here, resulting in injuries to the motorcyclist and pillion mate Mehraj-ud-Din Sheikh resident of Bemina, Srinagar. “Both the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment where motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a scooter bearing registration number JKO2AL-2997 driven by Arif Hassan Mir hit and injured a minor boy namely Mohammad Usman Bhat at Bidder village of Kokernag area in Anantnag district. “The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Kokernag for treatment, wherefrom he was referred to District Hospital Anantnag for further treatment,” he said, adding a case has been registered in this regard.
The spokesman said a swift car bearing registration number ASOIBJ-2483 driven by Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir hit a Motorcycle bearing registration number DLSAQ-2719 driven by Momin Gulzar Lone at Langalbal in Pahalgam area of Anantnag district, resulting in injuries to motorcyclist and three pillion mates namely Arif Hussain, Mohammad Umar Bhat, Arif Raina.
“All the injured persons were shifted to Pahalgam Hospital for treatment, wherefrom they were shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for further treatment,” the spokesman said, adding that a case has been registered in this regard.
