JAMMU, Dec 11: A woman was killed and six others were injured when two vehicles collided with each other in Nagrota area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, the woman was killed on the spot and six other passengers were injured when a mini-bus and a truck collided with each other on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Nagrota near Peer Baba.
He said that the mini-bus was on its way to Jammu from Nagrota area and the truck was on its way to Udhampur from Jammu when the incident took place. The deceased woman has been identified as Veena Sharma (53) wife of Vachas Sharma, a resident of Nagrota.
“All the injured have been shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital”, the spokesman said, adding a case in this connection has been registered and investigation started.
