SAMBA, Apr 17: One motorcyclist died after his two wheeler was hit by an unknown vehicle at Daboh area of Samba near here, today.
The deceased has been identified as Dhara Ram, 35, son of Daya Ram, resident of village Mannanu. The mishap occurred at Samba -Mansar -Dhar road near village Daboh, during the late last night when an unknown vehicle hit the motorcycle and fled from the spot, with the result the motorcyclist received critical injuries.
He was brought to District Hospital Samba for treatment but the doctor declared him as brought dead and the body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of district Hospital Samba for autopsy.
After completing the legal formalities the body of the deceased was handed over to the legal heirs for his last rites.
In this regard police has taken cognizance the matter and started investigation.
