One killed, four injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Jan 17: One person was killed and four others were injured in road accidents at different locations.
As per reports, 45-year-old Abdul Hajib, son of Shamshudin of Nagrota was injured in road accident and was admitted in the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) yesterday.
He failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries today.
The body was handed over to family members after postmortem, while police has taken the cognizance.
In another accident, two persons were injured, when the tipper they were traveling in rolled down into a gorge near Manthal, district Udhampur.
The tipper bearing registration number JK02AG-6765 was on its way to Jhajjar Kotli from Tikri, when it rolled down into gorge near Manthal.
Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to PHC Tikri, from where they were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for advance treatment.
The injured persons have been identified as Sadeek Hussain, son of Noor Mohd and Sail Singh, son of Jeet Singh, both residents of Jajjar Kotli.
A case has been registered at concerned police station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, two persons were injured, when a passenger bus collides with Army Bus near Ghari, district Udhampur.
The bus bearing registration number JK02S-7796, was on its way to Jammu from Udhampur, when it collided with Army bus near Ghari.
In the accident, driver of both the busses were injured and were shifted to Northern Command Military Hospital Udhampur.
Police has registered a case and investigation started.
