JAMMU, May 26: One person was killed while another got injured in a road mishap in Gadigarh area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a speeding car hit a bike at Upper Gadigarh this afternoon, resulting into serious injuries to Gurmukh Singh (65) son of Jeevan Singh, resident of Azad Nagar (Gadigarh) and Jashanpreet Singh (22) son of Niranjan Singh, resident of Lower Gadigarh, who were travelling on the bike.
He said both the injured were immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where Gurmukh was declared as brought dead by the doctors. “After postmortem, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while a case in this connection was registered at police station Satwari,” the official added.
