SAMBA, Apr 1: A road accident took place late last night at Samba’s flyover in which one person died while another was seriously injured. The accident took place at around 2.30 am when a car on way from Jammu to Pathankot collided with a truck going in the same direction.
After the accident, both the travellers of the car were seriously injured. They were taken to District Hospital Samba (DHS) with the help of Highway Police Patrol personnel. One person was declared brought dead by doctor at the hospital while the other was referred to GMC Jammu after first aid.

The deceased has been identified as 37 year old Abhay Mahajan, son of Gulshan Gupta resident of Rehari Jammu and the injured person has been identified as 39 year old Abinash Dogra, son of Prem Nath resident of Shastri Nagar Jammu. The body of the deceased has been handed over to the relatives for the last rites after the post mortem which was done in the mortuary of District Hospital Samba.
In this connection, the Samba police have registered a case and started further investigation.
