RAMBAN, May 8: One person was killed while one another was injured when the dumper they were traveling in skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Harnihal area of Khari in the district, here today.

The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK19- 6046 was on its way to Khari from Nachlana, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into deep gorge at Harnihal area of Khari, resulting into on the spot death of one person and serious injuries to one another.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured person to District Hospital Ramban and later referred to a hospital in Srinagar for advanced treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Tanvir Ahmed, son of Ghulam Qadir Pachoo of Seraan Khari, while the injured was identified as Mohammad Amin (driver), a resident of Khari.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Banihal Police Station and investigation started.
