RAMBAN, July 20: One person was killed when a rashly and negligently driven truck hit a car at Seri under the jurisdiction of Ramban Police Station early this morning.
The deceased namely B A Bhat, son of Abdul Ghani Bhat of Banihal was driving his car bearing registration number JK19-7580 towards Banihal when at Seri his vehicle was hit by a truck bearing registration number JK02AJ-1204.
In the accident, driver of car died on the spot. Soon after the accident, truck driver fled from the spot leaving behind the vehicle.
Police has registered a case in this regard and hunt has been launched to nab the absconding truck driver.
