One killed, 6 injured in road mishaps

Srinagar, Dec 11: Police today said a person was killed while six others were injured in different road accidents across Valley.
A police spokesman said an unknown vehicle hit a cyclist identified as Aamir Ahmad Sheikh at Bypass in Benhama area of Lar in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, resulting in his in spot death.
The spokesman said an Alto 800 bearing registration number JK04/9426 and Tata Mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK04B/9631 met with an accident near Check Pohru in Nowgam area here, resulting in injuries to person boarding the Alto car. “Both the injured have been shifted to the Hospital for treatment,” he said, adding a case has been registered in this regard.
He said a Bolero vehicle bearing registration number JK02A-3553 hit and injured a pedestrian namely Ghulam Mohammad Dar at Mirgund. “The injured was shifted to the hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman said.
The police spokesman said an Auto load Carrier bearing registration number JK13B/1916 turned turtle at Kadlabal in Charsoo area of Awantipora in Pulwama district, resulting in injuries to its driver Rayees Ahmad. “The injured was shifted to Hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The police spokesman said a motorcycle bearing registration number JK01P-2176 hit and injure a pedestrian namely Mohammad Yousuf Bhat near SMHS Hospital here. “In the accident, the motorcyclist was also injured. Both the injured have been shifted to the Hospital for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
