One killed, 5 injured in road mishaps

SAMBA, Sept 16: A woman was killed, while five others were injured in different road mishaps in Samba today.
According to the police, five person including two children sustained serious injuries when the car bearing registration number JK11A-1281 turned turtle after the driver lost the control over it near Maheshwar area of Samba. All the five injured persons were rushed to Samba District Hospital, where from, in view of their critical condition, they were referred to GMC, Jammu, where a woman, identified as Ranju Bala, wife of Romesh Singh, resident of Thalora Mandi, succumbed to her injuries.
The injured has been identified as Sudarshan Singh (41), his wife Sapna (34), son Gokul (ten months) and daughter Ridhima (5).
In another incident, a person got seriously injured after his car bearing registration number JK12-2689 collided with Army vehicle near Veer Bhoomi Park in Samba. He was immediately rushed to District Hospital Samba. He has been identified as Akash Kumar, son of Ashish Sharma, resident of Chak Salarian area of Ramgarh in Samba. A case has been registered in both the cases at the Samba police station and investigations are on.
