One killed, 4 injured in Valley mishaps

Srinagar, Dec 26: Police today said one person was killed and four others were injured in different road accidents across Valley.
A police spokesman said an unknown motorcyclist hit and injure a pedestrian namely Ghulam Ahmad Lone at Naidkhai in Bandipora district. “The injured was shifted to Sumbal hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico-legal formalities, body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. Police has registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a Tata Sumo vehicle bearing registration number JK03A-4707 hit and injure a pedestrian namely Mukhtar Ahmad Zargar at Mominabad at Anantnag district. “The injured person was shifted to District Hospital Anantnag wherefrom he was referred to SKIMS Soura for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” the spokesman said.
The police spokesman said an unknown motorcyclist hit and injure a minor girl namely Ulfat Banoo near Boys Higher Secondary School Kralpora in Kupwara district. “The injured was shifted to Sub District Hospital Kralpora wherefrom she was referred to Bone and Joint Hospital Srinagar for further treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
An unknown vehicle hit and injured a pedestrian namely Ghulam Hassan Ganaie at Akhran village of Qazigund in Kulgam district, the spokesman said. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital Anantnag for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The police spokesman said a Tata Sumo vehicle bearing registration number JK05B-0719 met with an accident at Bagna in Bijhama in Baramulla district, resulting in injury to a passenger namely Noor Ahmad Najar. “The injured was shifted to Public Health Centre Boniyar for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard,” he added.
