Srinagar, Nov 14: A person was killed while three others were injured in two separate road accidents in Budgam and Kupwara districts.
A police spokesman said a scooty collided with an unknown vehicle at Machoowa area of Chadoora in Budgam district, resulting in injuries to three persons namely Kifayat Hassan Sheikh, Azhar Manzoor and Suhail Rafiq.
“All the injured were shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment where one of the injured, Suhail Rafiq, succumbed to his injuries. After completion of medico legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. Police has registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a Wagon-R car bearing registration number JK02BC-5368 hit and injured a pedestrian girl namely Insha Rasool at Karihama in Vilgam area of Kupwara district. “The injured was shifted to District Hospital Kupwara for treatment. Police has registered a case in this regard,” he said.
