One killed, 3 injured in road mishaps

UDHAMPUR, July 10: Driver of truck was killed and the conductor sustained serious injuries when the vehicle rolled down into deep gorge near Dudar Bridge while in another road accident near Manad, a couple was injured, here today.
Reports said that a truck bearing registration number PB46A-0717 was on its way from Jammu to Kashmir when it met with accident near Dudar Bridge. Police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared one of them as brought dead.
The deceased was identified as truck driver Sahib Singh (44), son of Farjeet Singh of Karnal Haryana and the injured as conductor Sukhwinder Singh (35) son of Upkar Singh of Ludhiana.
Meanwhile, a couple was injured when a car on way from Udhampur to Jammu, rammed into a roadside divider near Manad. The injured were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur. They were identified as Som Raj (58) of Shiv Nagar Udhampur and his 48 years old wife Nina Raj.
