RAMBAN, Nov 30: One person was killed and three others injured in accidents here today.
As per police sources, a truck was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into gorge near Magarkote area on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, resulting into death of driver and injuries to his associate.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured person to PHC Ramsoo and later to SDH Banihal from where he was referred to SKIMS Srinagar for advanced treatment.
The deceased has been identified as Junaid Ahmed, son of Mohammad Rafiq of Kokernag, district Anantnag and the injured has been identified as Mushtaq Ahmed, son of Mohammad Karim of Kokernag district Anantnag.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Ramsoo Police Station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, two teachers identified as Fareed Ahmed Daing, son of Abdul Qayoom Daing of Dadrote Neel and Showkat Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed of Mutlihal Halla were injured when the Swift car they were traveling in from Neel to Banihal rolled down into gorge near Shailgari area.
The injured persons were shifted to SDH Banihal and were later referred to SKIMS Srinagar for advanced treatment.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Banihal Police Station and investigation started.
