ABVP takes out rally for death sentence to rapists

JAMMU, Nov 30: Demanding death sentence for all the accused in rape and murder of the Veterinary Doctor at Hyderabad, ABVP Jammu Mahanagar and Jammu University units organized candle march, here today.
A number of students took part in the Jammu Mahanagar rally , which was taken out from Parade Chowk-Purani Mandi-Jain Bazar-Panjteerthi-Kachi Chawni- and other areas. They were raising slogans for justice to the victim.
The march was led by city secretary Parteek Raina, who stressed that the Government must frame laws by death sentence to the rapists. He further said that there was need for the social organization and people for working on mindset of the youth.
In Jammu University, ABVP activists assembled near Flag Point and paid tribute to the victim by lighting candles in front of her portrait. While addressing the students, Dyutima Kesar said that it was not only the Vet Doctor but thousands of girls and women are subjected to molestation and rape though all such incidents are not brought in the public domain.
“The whole country is ashamed on such ill minds but as an Indian we need to fight collectively against such evils rather to criticize the nation as a whole,” she stressed.
