MENDHAR, June 19: A minor boy was buried alive while his parents and a brother were seriously injured as their Kucha house collapsed at village Nakka Majari in Balakote block of Mendhar in district Poonch today.
A police spokesman said that mishap took place during mid night when the family members were fast asleep. The main wooden beam of the middle large room suddenly got broken and the house collapsed.
They were buried under the house. Some of them survived with minor injuries and raised alarm. The neighbours rushed there and started rescue. They managed to save the couple and their son while 8-year-old Wahid Ahmed, son of Mohd Iqbal was killed on the spot. His dead body was later recovered from the debris.
The police party from Gursai also reached there after some time. The other three injured persons were later hospitalised. They were identified as Mohd Iqbal, his wife Ulfat Bi and son Shahid Iqbal.
